Cloudflare is a global security and performance network at the edge of the web. Far more than a CDN, it combines caching, DDoS protection, DNS, a web application firewall (WAF), bot management and a Zero Trust platform, sitting between visitors and the origin server.
What is Cloudflare used for?
Cloudflare is used to accelerate a site via its global cache, protect it from attacks (DDoS, injections, bots) and secure internal access. It also provides fast DNS, SSL certificates and a serverless compute platform (Workers).
