Svelte is an open-source front-end framework with an original approach: instead of shipping a runtime in the browser, it compiles components into optimized JavaScript at build time. The result is lightweight, fast applications with a concise syntax praised by developers. It is now backed by Vercel.

What is Svelte used for?

Svelte is used to build reactive web interfaces with less code and very performant rendering. Its compilation removes much of the overhead of classic frameworks. Its application framework SvelteKit covers server rendering and routing, making it a complete alternative to React and Vue.js.
