A top-tier cloud, especially strong on data and AI, whose cost control remains, as with its rivals, the real challenge.
Google Cloud (GCP) is Google's cloud platform, one of the three major global providers alongside AWS and Azure. It offers a broad range of infrastructure and platform services: virtual machines, containers and Kubernetes, databases, big data (BigQuery) and artificial intelligence, all billed by usage.
Google Cloud is used to host applications, store and analyze large data volumes, run containers and train or deploy AI models. Its recognized strengths are analytics (BigQuery), managed Kubernetes (GKE) and AI. It targets businesses and startups building scalable cloud infrastructure.
Against AWS and Azure, Google Cloud highlights data, AI and networking, with per-second billing and automatic discounts. AWS keeps an edge in maturity and breadth. The choice comes down to data/AI workloads, skills and negotiated pricing.
Google Cloud bills by usage, with no fixed subscription. A free tier covers some services permanently, and a trial offers $300 of credit over 90 days for new accounts. Automatic discounts (sustained use, up to 30%) and 1- or 3-year commitments (up to 70%) reduce costs.

Google Cloud bills by usage, by resource and often by the second, with no fixed subscription: no advertised entry price. A free tier covers some services permanently (including BigQuery 1 TB of queries per month), and a trial offers $300 of credit valid 90 days for new accounts. Automatic sustained-use discounts (up to 30%) and 1- or 3-year commitments (up to 70%) clearly reduce the bill depending on architecture.
