Microsoft 365 is Microsoft's office and collaboration suite, the successor to the Office pack. It combines the Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook apps, Exchange email, OneDrive storage and the Teams collaboration platform, available both online and as installed desktop apps.

What is Microsoft 365 used for?

The suite is used to produce documents, spreadsheets and presentations, manage email and calendars, store and share files, and communicate as a team through Teams (chat, video, workspaces). It remains the reference wherever advanced Excel, Outlook and installed Office files are non-negotiable.

Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace?

Against Google Workspace, Microsoft keeps the edge on installed desktop apps, Excel depth and enterprise footprint. Google stays smoother for browser-native co-editing. The choice mostly depends on your existing setup and habits.

How much does Microsoft 365 cost?

On the business side, Business Basic is 6.10 €, Business Standard 12.90 € and Business Premium 22.60 € per user per month (annual commitment, excluding tax). Consumer Personal and Family plans also exist. There is no free business plan, only a one-month trial.
