Google Workspace is Google's productivity and collaboration suite for businesses. It bundles Gmail on a company domain, Drive storage, the Docs, Sheets and Slides editors, Meet video calls and a shared calendar, all online and synced in real time across an organization.

What is Google Workspace used for?

The suite covers the essentials of office work: sending and managing email on a company address, co-editing documents with several people at once, running video meetings, sharing files with fine-grained permissions and administering accounts from a central console. It targets teams that want a single collaborative base rather than scattered tools.

Google Workspace or Microsoft 365?

Against Microsoft 365, Workspace bets on browser-native collaboration and instant onboarding, while Microsoft keeps the edge on installed desktop apps and enterprise footprint. The choice mostly comes down to your team's habits and existing ecosystem.
