Xero is online accounting software aimed at small and medium businesses. Very popular in the UK, Australia and New Zealand, it handles invoicing, bank reconciliation, expenses and, depending on the country, payroll, with a broad ecosystem of third-party apps.

Xero is used to keep a small business's books: issue invoices, reconcile bank transactions, track cash flow, manage expenses and collaborate with an accountant online. Its strength is simplicity and its integration ecosystem, in countries where it is natively compliant.
Is Xero suitable in France?
Warning: Xero is not built for the French accounting and tax framework (VAT, standards, filings). In France, local solutions like Pennylane, Tiime or Indy are far better suited. Xero mainly targets English-speaking markets or international companies.
