SaaS Radar Review

The pioneer of no-code automation, unmatched on catalog breadth and simplicity, though task-based billing climbs fast at scale.

  • Simple to learn, trigger-based workflows
  • Task-based billing climbs fast at scale

Zapier is the pioneer of no-code automation between apps. It connects more than 7,000 tools to build workflows (Zaps) that trigger automatic actions: when an event happens in one app, Zapier runs a series of steps in others, with no code required.

What is Zapier for?

You automate repetitive tasks that link software together: adding a form lead to the CRM, sending a Slack alert for every payment, copying an attachment to storage, syncing two tools. You pick a trigger, then actions, with filters, conditional paths, and formatting. Its strength is the sheer size of its integration catalog, by far the largest, covering nearly every common SaaS tool.

Zapier or Make and n8n?

Compared with Make, more visual and often cheaper at volume, Zapier bets on its catalog and simplicity. Compared with n8n, open source and self-hostable, it's more accessible but offers less control over data and costs. To get started fast with the widest range of apps, Zapier remains the safe bet.

What are the limits of Zapier?

Billing by task climbs fast once you automate at scale, and the free plan (100 tasks, two-step Zaps) is limited. For heavy or highly technical scenarios, Make or n8n often work out cheaper.
