SaaS Radar Review
7/10

An excellent way to ship an internal app without coding, very fast to implement, though per-user pricing climbs fast at scale.

  • Builds web and mobile apps with no code
  • Connects to a spreadsheet, Airtable, or a SQL database
  • Free plan is mainly useful for testing

Glide is a no-code platform that builds web and mobile apps from your data. Start with a spreadsheet, an Airtable base, or a SQL source, and Glide generates an app usable on mobile and in the browser, with no code required.

What is Glide for?

It mainly builds internal tools: team directories, inventory tracking, client portals, field apps, lightweight CRMs. You connect your data, choose components (lists, forms, buttons, cards), add workflows and an AI layer, then publish. Glide targets teams who want a real app fast, without a developer, to digitize an internal process.

Glide or Airtable and NocoDB?

Compared with Airtable and NocoDB, which focus on data and spreadsheets, Glide focuses on the finished app and its interface. These tools are actually complementary: one stores the data, Glide puts it on stage. For an open-source alternative on the data side, AppFlowy follows a different logic.

What are the limits of Glide?

The free plan is mainly useful for testing, and pricing rises quickly: the Business plan at $199/month with per-user billing can add up fast once you roll it out broadly. The logic remains that of an app built on data; for very specific needs, custom development still has the edge.
