SaaS Radar Review
8/10

The best tool on the market for a team that moderates daily, and a poor purchase for a freelancer who only wants to schedule posts.

  • Unified inbox with no equivalent, including assignment and statuses
  • Collision detection when two people reply to the same message
  • Very high per-user price, out of proportion for solo use

Agorapulse is a French social media management tool built in Paris. Its strength is neither scheduling nor analytics, both competent without being remarkable, but its unified inbox, the best in its category.

What sets Agorapulse apart

Comments, direct messages, mentions and Google reviews land in a single queue where each item is handled like a ticket: assignment to a team member, status, internal notes, saved replies and collision detection when two people answer at once. This is the feature that changes how a team works, and no cheap tool offers it at this level.

Who is Agorapulse for?

Teams of two or more, and agencies that spend as much time replying as publishing. For one person who mostly wants to schedule, the price is out of proportion: Metricool or Buffer deliver the same scheduling for five to fifteen times less. The tipping point comes when inbound message volume stops being manageable by hand.

A French vendor, and a real GDPR argument

Agorapulse is registered in Paris and employs more than a hundred people. For a European organisation that has to document how its data is processed, that carries as much weight as any feature, on par with Swello on this front but with far broader functional coverage.

How much does Agorapulse cost?

Standard costs €79 per user per month billed annually, for 10 social profiles and 6 months of history. Professional rises to €119 and adds ad comment moderation and message assignment. Advanced costs €149 and unlocks automated moderation, shared calendars and competitive benchmarking. There is no free plan, but a 30-day trial with no credit card, the most generous on the market. Our guide to the best social media tool places it against its competitors.

Frequently asked questions about Agorapulse

Does Agorapulse offer a free plan?
No. It does offer a 30-day trial with no credit card, the longest in its category, which leaves plenty of time to judge the inbox under real conditions.
Is Agorapulse a French company?
Yes. Agorapulse SAS is registered in the French commercial register and its head office is on boulevard de Sébastopol in Paris. The company employs more than a hundred people.
Is billing per network or per user?
Per user. Adding networks does not raise the bill as long as you stay under the plan's profile limit, 10 on Standard. This is the opposite of Buffer or Publer.
How does it compare to Hootsuite?
Agorapulse is clearly better at collaborative moderation and cheaper at entry level, €79 against €99. Hootsuite keeps the edge on listening and on approval workflows for very large organisations.
How long is data retained?
6 months on Standard, 12 months on Professional and 24 months on Advanced. Worth checking if you need year-on-year comparisons.
Does Agorapulse handle Google reviews?
Yes, Google Business Profile review moderation is built into the unified inbox, alongside social comments and messages.
